The vast sandy plains of the Landes de Gascogne span 1.4 million hectares. Since the beginning of the century, this region has become the cradle of the ‘Asperge des Sables des Landes’ asparagus. From mid-March, it pops its head out from the sandy hillages that ensure its beautiful white colour.
So that food lovers can fully enjoy its taste and tenderness, the ‘Asperges des Landes’ asparagus is refrigerated within a maximum of four hours after being picked. Building on this success, the ‘Asperge des Sables des Landes’ asparagus has a Protected Geographical Indication (P.G.I.), guaranteeing the origin of production.
