Limousin beers are available in local stores as well as bars, restaurants and hotels in Limousin. Also available directly from breweries.
The local beer is pure malt, unpasteurised and high fermentation.
Beers are white, golden, amber and brown in colour and made from fermented germinated barley, water, hops and yeast. They have an alcohol volume of 4.4 to 7.5%.
A little bit of history… Due to the use of barley and the exceptional water quality in Corrèze, the number of breweries in the region has been rising since the 18th century. As a result, La Creuse is at the centre of production.
The cities of Aubusson, Guéret and Limoges have also experienced an industrial brewery boom.
