In supermarkets and in specialist grocery stores
The ‘Carotte des sables des Landes’ carrot is grown using environmentally friendly practices: choice of long rotations, sustainable use of treatments, safety training for personnel who spray crops. Fertilising is dosed to suit the plant’s needs. Carrots in fields over the winter are protected using natural methods such as hilling, tilling or mulching. The carrot’s freshness is optimised by reducing the time spent between harvesting and shipping, and rapid cooling by hydrocooling.
It is harvested from May to July. Grown in the Landes, the carrot draws out all the substances it needs for to achieve its freshness and subtle taste from these light, fertile soils and favourable climate. With a melt-in-the-mouth texture, a taste with a delicate flavour, and an appetising colour, the Carotte de Sables carrot has it all to make your taste buds go wild.
