Côtes du Marmandais dates back to Roman times and is part of what was then known as the ‘Haut Pays Bordelais’. At the gates of Bordeaux, the Côtes du Marmandais A.O.C estate is situated east of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, in the department of Lot-et-Garonne. This vineyard, set in the heart of the South-West, extends over the green hillsides of 27 municipalities along the two banks of the Garonne river. From one bank to the other, Côtes du Marmandais includes terroirs which stretch to Graves and Entre-Deux-Mers, special terroirs of character held in high esteem by winegrowers.
Red wines have a wonderfully purplish appearance, developing red berry and fruits of the forest aromas. Full and balanced on the palate, these wines are round and fleshy, and beautifully blended with silky smooth tannins.
Rosé wines are distinctive for their fresh red berry fruit, grenadine and English candy aromas expressed through the appellation’s grape varieties and their attractive colours.
Dry white wines are lively, balanced, fresh and fruity.
Through their warm accent, aromatic finesse and generosity, Côtes du Marmandais A.O.C red, rosé and dry white wines are ideal to pair with the array of culinary delights the South-West of France offers. The winegrowers of Marmandais invite you to share their passion and savoir-faire by discovering and experiencing their wine selection!
