Available directly from producers, in wine cellars and supermarkets in the Poitou region
The Haut-Poitou estate is located north of Poitiers, in the heart of Futuroscope country.
The passion and expertise of the Haut-Poitou winegrowers were rewarded in 2011 with an A.O.C label (Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée). The ‘Haut-Poitou’ is distinctive for fresh and easy-drinking wines available in selection of red, white and rosé wines.
White wines are produced from Sauvignon Blanc and a variation of Sauvignon Gris. Ideal to serve as an aperitif, with starters or as an accompaniment to goat’s cheese.
Red wines are elegant, almost ruby red in appearance. They are made up of at least 60% Cabernet Franc with structured tannins and some complemented with Gamay or Pinot Noir.
The rosé wines are essentially a blend of Pinot Noir, Gamay and Cabernet Franc.
