Everywhere: through direct sales, from your wine merchant, in supermarkets …
Pineau des Charentes is a quality product recognised both nationally and on a European level thanks to its PDOs (Protected Designation of Origin).
This recognition is based on strict specifications which, in particular, define a geographical area for grape harvesting, a manufacture process and even the boiling of vintage wines.
Although white Pineau is made using musts which come from well-defined grapes, rosé and red Pineaus are made using must from grapes defined by a list.
Marketing is done using certain notes: Pineau des Charentes, ‘old Pineau’ (matured 5 years minimum), ‘very old’ or ‘extra old’ (matured 10 years minimum).
