Organic farming

Organic farming ensures that the mode of production is respectful of the environment and animal welfare. The rules governing organic production methods are the same throughout Europe and imported products are subject to the same requirements. The Euro-leaf, the European logo (below), which guarantees that a product is organic, is mandatory since 1 July 2010.
