The Limousin Apple is the only apple in France to receive Protected Designation of Origin (P.D.O.). The Limousin apple is crunchy, juicy and slightly acidic. Thanks to its preservation qualities, it can be bought year-round, from October to July. Delicious both raw and cooked, it can be used to make pastries, such as strudels, turnovers, charlottes and tarts….
