Périgord Farmers – 1 Périgord Route – 24210 TERRASSON LAVILLEDIEU
Thanks to its climate, soil and cereal farming, the Périgord is the ideal place for producing high-quality chickens.
Périgord chickens, originating from countryside breeds which are bred slowly in a free-range setting for at least 81 days, are plump chickens with well-developed muscles and delicate skin. Its tasty meat has a firm and succulent texture.
Rich in protein and low in calories, the Périgord chicken can be cooked in various ways: oven roasted, grilled on the barbecue, braised in sauces or steamed en papillote. Everyone can enjoy it all year round.
The Périgord chicken was awarded P.G.I., Protected Geographical Indication, in October 2016, a symbol of quality and origin.
