Gaëlle: I’ve adopted Bordeaux as my hometown and I’m the author of the blog ‘mon bonheur gourmand’. A bit of a geek and kind of hyperactive, I’m in love with good gastronomy. On my blog, monbonheurgourmand.fr, you’ll find recipes for desserts and savoury dishes, that I’ve created or tested. As well as some opinion pieces, good places to check out, great finds, favourite foods and wine plus my culinary adventures. My cuisine is influenced by produce from the Aquitaine terroir, my Caribbean origins and my travels. The blog came into being in 2014 and was mainly aimed at providing access to my book of recipes online. Then, in no time, I realised how much I loved writing. So I started rating restaurants, products and new finds. I’m really fond of fusion cuisine and generally enjoy good salads, tapas and easy-going cuisine just as much. I love food cooked on the plancha or barbecue, and give preference to oven-baked dishes. My ‘gourmandisiac weapons’ are spices, herbs and a good mood… For me, what’s homemade is a safe bet. For that reason, I cook and I pastry as much as possible with what I have on hand, for the enjoyment of my sweetheart and friends (my lucky taste-testers)! My cuisine is like me, it’s a cultural mix.
