Although not born in Bordeaux, Sophie Juby is a big fan of her adopted hometown. She likes Bordeaux’s past and present, its striking façades and its quality of life. She’s been writing since 2014. Her culinary chronicles are available online at: Bordeaux Cuisine and Co.
She shares her favourites and her passion for gastronomy and wine. On the menu: restaurants, chefs, addresses focused on products as well as a look at alternative practices, wiser consumption, eating local, and food as a great way to create social ties.
At the same time, she launched a guide with Editions Sud-Ouest, the logical follow-up to her webzine. Her book on Bordeaux’s top 100 restaurants: ‘le Meilleur de Bordeaux, 100 restaurants’ was published in 2018. The 2019/2020 edition has now been released.
